The Kelly Clarkson Show Has Been Kelly-Less

The television program titled “The Kelly Clarkson Show” lives up to its name as it’s hosted by none other than Kelly Clarkson herself. However, over the past week, this show has aired without its main hostess. On February 28, comedian Roy Wood Jr. stood in for Clarkson, sharing that he was merely filling her shoes temporarily. Actor Simu Liu took over on March 3, informing viewers that he had only just learned about Clarkson’s absence moments before the show started. He shared with the audience that “Kelly unfortunately couldn’t make it today.” The show sent their well-wishes to her. Clarkson returned on March 4 and 5 without disclosing the reason for her absence, but Roy Wood Jr. was again scheduled to host on March 6. Since then, she has been absent, even missing the milestone thousandth episode on March 7.

After Clarkson left, Brooke Shields and Willie Geist have joined as co-hosts of her show, while singers Marc Broussard and Josh Groban have given “Cameo-ke” performances. Molly Sims is scheduled to host on March 13 and 14, with Kal Penn taking over on March 17. Kelly Clarkson will return on Tuesday, March 18, but Andy Cohen of Watch What Happens Live! will be filling in for her on March 19. We’re relieved because we can’t wait any longer for our regular “Kellyokes”.
