Twitch has addressed a distressing real-life event involving prominent streamers Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru who encountered an aggressive viewer, and they’ve vowed to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
On the 2nd of March, well-known Twitch personalities Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru encountered a man while they were streaming live from Santa Monica Pier in Southern California.
The fellow insisted that the group provide him with their contact details, then trailed after them persistently, going so far as to drop to one knee in an attempt to ‘propose’ to the content makers.
Eventually, he aggressively approached the girls, challenging them to a fight and making violent threats against their lives. This behavior caused the group to flee and seek assistance from security personnel.
In the days following the event, Valkyrae pledged to apprehend her suspected assailant. She also expressed that she would never step outside without being armed, after the incident gained widespread attention.
While the police are examining the offender, Twitch is also delving into the matter and expressed horror over the events that unfolded.
Twitch issues statement after IRL streaming incidents
Twitch spoke about the matter concerning Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Based on what a Twitch representative has stated, it’s clear that the platform, which is owned by Amazon, strongly condemns any form of harassment or mistreatment, regardless of where it occurred. Their safety teams are actively working to look into these matters further.
They expressed great concern for the welfare of those who create, and they’re taking steps to make sure they receive proper support.
In March, it wasn’t just those three who encountered overzealous fans; similar disturbing incidents involving creators on various other platforms also took place.
On that very same fateful evening, while Valkyrae and her pals were under a shadow of danger, an unfortunate incident struck close to home for streamer Amouranth – masked assailants broke into her Twitch-Kickstar abode, demanding cold hard cash and access to her cryptocurrency wallet.
Obtained exclusively by TopMob, a video reveals the shocking incident where burglars, wielding weapons, stormed into the residence of popular streamer Amouranth. Instead of asking for money directly, they inquired about its location, shouting questions such as “W” or “What about that crypto you have?

Following an attack with a pistol by the burglars, the model cleverly led them to another area of her home, where her spouse was hidden, brandishing a weapon as well. Upon spotting the intruders, he discharged two rounds, striking one, causing the entire group to retreat in fear.
TopMob managed to capture unique footage that shows the instant when burglars broke into her bedroom, as well as the streamer being led away from the premises by the police.
I can’t believe it; on March 11, streamer Airi Sato was tragically murdered during a live stream. The alleged perpetrator had previously given her around $13,500 and reportedly wanted his money back.
These encounters have left many female streamers afraid to take their broadcasts IRL.
Following the recent incident involving Valkyrae and her friends, the news about stabbings has made me think twice about doing live, real-life streams,” stated streamer celina_0801. “Even in one of the safest nations, such events can still occur unexpectedly.
Simultaneously, influential individuals within the streaming sector have been pushing for stronger safety precautions and encouraging content creators to secure personal protection services.
