How to unlock the Melding Pot – Monster Hunter Wilds

In Monster Hunter Rise, the Melding Pot stands out as one of the game’s essential items, earning its own brief introduction upon unlocking. Initially, it may appear as a handy, yet superfluous extra during the main storyline. However, when you delve into the endgame challenges in Rise, the Melding Pot becomes indispensable for crafting the strongest decorations.

In our Monster Hunter Wilds Melding Pot tutorial, we clarify the moment you gain access to this feature and when more complex options within the Melding Pots become available.

Monster Hunter Wilds: How to unlock the Melding Pot

The Melding Pot becomes accessible at the onset of Chapter 3-3, “Through the Dusk”. You’ll find it nestled in the Suja district, a quaint hamlet with a panoramic view of the Ruins of Wyveria. The tent where it resides is roughly centered on your map. Keep in mind that you’ll need to revisit this location whenever you wish to utilize the Melding Pot. Fortunately, despite Wyveria being out-of-bounds until Chapter 5, you can still access the Suja region after commencing Chapter 4.

With The Melding Pot, you can merge the orbs you collect during your quests into decorative pieces or accessories. These accessories not only serve as decoration but also grant you special abilities, much like Talismans do. Once you unlock more features, you can even combine relics and decorations to create new items, such as Artian materials for crafting Wilds’ strongest weapons.

Monster Hunter Wilds: How to upgrade Melding Pot

As you advance through the storyline of Wilds, additional options for customizing your pot features become available after the main game. However, up until Chapter Five, you will be limited to using Wyverian Melding for crafting Tier One and Two decorations.

Once you finish Chapter 5-1, Stone Cold Vortex, you’ll gain access to blend top-tier relics and utilize Glowing Orb items during the blending process. Successfully completing Chapter 6-1, What Lies Ahead, will provide you with the ability to blend decorations. When you reach Hunter Rank 100, you can commence crafting higher-tier relics and decorations and use Ancient Orbs in your blending procedures.
