Crossplay date confirmed. Palworld’s next big update arrives in March, paving the way for full launch

In spite of the ongoing legal dispute with Nintendo, Palworld continues to thrive, having achieved an impressive player count across all available platforms since its launch. So, what’s in store for this unexpected success over a year after its early access debut? Back in January, developers unveiled a roadmap, and now we have more information on crossplay, a feature that players have been eagerly requesting.

Crossplay in Palworld is coming back soon and this time for real

As an avid fan, I’ve been eagerly following the journey of Palworld since its debut on PC and Xbox in January 2024, with the PlayStation 5 version joining us in September. Since then, it’s been a rollercoaster ride of updates and fresh content. However, with the latest roadmap, it seems like Pocketpair is preparing to add the concluding scenario – a significant step that feels like we’re edging closer to a grand release!

In this article on X, the long-awaited question about crossplay has finally been addressed – it’s arriving soon! Expected to be released in a late March update, we’re marking the occasion by offering a 25% discount on Palworld on Steam and the PlayStation Store.

Interestingly enough, I thought crossplay was already a feature in the game. It turns out that my assumption wasn’t entirely off-base. It appears Pocketpair had incorporated it recently, perhaps accidentally, then withdrew it after a brief period. Perhaps it was an unexpected preview or simply hidden testing. Regardless, it’s set to return officially soon, and we won’t have to wait too much longer for this update!
