In the game Monster Hunter, certain tasks can be accomplished swiftly, while others require a bit more patience. However, one clever player of Monster Hunter Wilds has unearthed a method to achieve astonishingly short completion times by leveraging a unique feature in Wilds’ system.
According to VG247, a player of Monster Hunter Worlds shared an exceptionally quick completion time for a Tempered Chameleos battle, which appears to be due to an unusual trick involving the game’s poison system. The fight itself typically lasts around nine minutes, but the quest was surprisingly finished in just 1 minute and 53 seconds.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, initiating the quest involves a specific action rather than just applying poison to the monster. Even though the hunter in the video fires numerous poison bullets at the Chatacabra, maintaining the debuff doesn’t automatically start the quest. The quest begins when the player subdues the monster, triggers the quest event, and then delivers the final blow.
As a passionate player, I’ve heard some theories circulating among us, mainly suggesting that poison doesn’t initiate a quest in the open world as a precaution against accidental hunts. To test this out for myself, I armed myself with my trusty Heavy Bowgun and spent hours patiently poisoning a Chatacabra. Interestingly, it didn’t prompt a quest until I switched to other ammo and started attacking it more aggressively.
Regardless of the situation, this small exchange is quite intriguing. It doesn’t appear to be a significant issue since a swift quest completion isn’t necessarily more valuable than the actual accomplishment at the end. The Chatacabra will still perish in either scenario, and using Poison Ammo seems to be more complicated and resource-consuming compared to just hitting it with regular weapons.
Despite the passage of time, it is evident that players of Monster Hunter Worlds continue to uncover unique, entertaining methods for hunting monsters. As we delve deeper into the Forbidden Lands and anticipate further updates, there’s no doubt that this game will continue to reveal hidden secrets in the days ahead.
In addition to our coverage of Monster Hunter Wilds, we’ve got an entertaining tale to share about how players have found out that subdued monsters will eventually make their escape, and insights from the series producer explaining the game’s widespread popularity.
