‘Poker Face’ Season 2 Trailer Introduces New Celebrity Suspects, May Premiere Date on Peacock

Charlie Cale makes his return to business in a sneak peek for Season 2 of “Poker Face,” set to air on May 8 exclusively on Peacock.

Rian Johnson and Natasha Lyonne’s weekly mystery series will debut by simultaneously airing the first three episodes, followed by a new episode being released every Thursday thereafter.

Poker Face” introduces Lyonne as a detective-by-default, gifted with uncanny instincts for detecting lies. She journeys across the nation in her Plymouth Barracuda, running into peculiar individuals and baffling crimes that she inadvertently solves. This new season promises an array of renowned celebrity guest stars.

Actors such as Adrienne C. Moore, Alia Shawkat, Awkwafina, Ben Marshall, B.J. Novak, Carol Kane, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Corey Hawkins, Cynthia Erivo, David Krumholtz, Davionte “GaTa” Ganter, Ego Nwodim, Gaby Hoffmann, Geraldine Viswanathan, Giancarlo Esposito, Haley Joel Osment, Jason Ritter, John Cho, John Mulaney, Justin Theroux, Kathrine Narducci, Katie Holmes, Kevin Corrigan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Tom, Lili Taylor, Margo Martindale, Melanie Lynskey, Natasha Leggero, Patti Harrison, Rhea Perlman, Richard Kind, Sam Richardson, Sherry Cola, Simon Helberg, Simon Rex, and Taylor Schilling will feature on the show.

Charlie Cale is once again on the move, and this season we’ve elevated her adventure by involving her in one intriguing mystery after another. Ranging from minor league baseball to large retail stores, from funeral homes to alligator farms, and even a grade school talent show, Charlie embarks on her crime-solving road trip filled with dry humor, deep compassion for people, and her unique knack for detecting lies,” wrote Johnson and Lyonne in a joint statement hinting at the new season.

In its debut season, ‘Poker Face’ garnered four Emmy nominations, and it claimed one victory: Judith Light was awarded the title of best guest actress in a comedy series for her exceptional performance.

Tony Tost serves as the lead producer for “Poker Face,” with Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue, Adam Arkin, Nora Zuckerman, and Lilla Zuckerman also producing. The production companies involved are T-Street, MRC, T-Street along with Animal Pictures acting as producers.
