Be Your Own Dumbledore In This Upcoming Magic School Sim

The game “The Fool’s Apprentice,” a future simulation about managing a wizard academy, has been given a release date of April 14 by its developers, The Planar Danse. They made this announcement through a fresh trailer.

In “The Fool’s Apprentice,” participants take on the role of the mentioned jester, learning or even being used as experimental subjects for the mystical disciplines they are teaching.

In simpler terms, “The Planar Danse portrays The Fool’s Apprentice as a game where you assume the role of a benevolent professor at a wizard academy. Your task is to effectively manage your numerous apprentices by teaching them spells, ensuring they learn the correct ones, and navigating them through the sometimes perilous process of research.

The game’s developer adds that some students may not make it, “But oh well, can’t save them all!”

The trailer for the game’s release shows various scenarios where students could meet an untimely end during their apprenticeship, such as brewing improper potions or electric spells malfunctioning.

Apart from unintentionally killing their apprentices (which they shouldn’t), players can participate in a variety of other activities. They can design their academy to make it seem welcoming and safe, or interact with the citizens of Golyron, whose future is determined by the player. The player gets to decide whether to share magical powers with the common folk or keep all mystical knowledge within the academy’s walls. However, be cautious: If the people of Golyron grow too unhappy with their circumstances, uprisings could occur – or worse, the player might lose their position at the academy.

The Fool’s Apprentice launches for PC on April 14, and is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
