Palworld Cross-Play Update Officially Confirmed For Late March

In simple terms, the game developers of Palworld, known as Pocketpair, have announced that cross-platform play will be integrated into the game towards the end of March. This feature will be accessible on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Mac. Moreover, the upcoming update will facilitate multiplayer sessions between various platforms and enable players to transfer their Pals between different worlds, as stated in the developer’s notes on Steam.

Ever since the game initially debuted in early access, cross-play has been a highly anticipated feature among players. In January, Pocketpair confirmed that this feature would be introduced in 2025, along with various other enhancements to the game. Enhancements to object placement within the world, updates for base Pals, new endgame content, and overall optimization of the game were also mentioned as part of several upcoming updates for Palworld before its final release.

In a recent update, Pocketpair announced that the game Palworld has surpassed an impressive player milestone: over 32 million players have joined this game across all its available platforms such as Xbox’s Game Pass and Game Preview programs. However, it’s important to note that Pocketpair is currently embroiled in a legal battle with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. These companies have accused Pocketpair of violating several patents under their ownership.

Additionally to their current project, Sony and Pocketpair have teamed up for Palworld merchandise as well. The goal of the studio is to expand the brand by exploring new commercial prospects.
