Fans of Freida McFadden’s book “The Housemaid” can rest assured that they won’t be disappointed with the movie version, according to Michele Morrone at the SXSW TV Film Festival.
Morrone, the actor playing Enzo in the upcoming movie, mentioned during an interview promoting ‘Another Simple Favor’ that the film will likely closely follow the book. He didn’t reveal much more about his character, only describing him as a bit of an oddball.
He joked, ‘I enjoy playing unusual characters, if you recall.’ Yet, I’m pleased to be a part of that project and embracing my unconventional side!”

“He said he likes playing oddball roles, right? Well, I’m proud to be part of that project, and I’m owning this weirdo thing!
The upcoming Lionsgate film, slated for release on Christmas Day 2025, features Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, and Morrone in leading roles, with Paul Feig directing. The narrative centers around Millie (Sweeney), a woman seeking a new beginning who accepts employment as a housemaid for the affluent couple Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew (Sklenar). As she delves deeper into her duties, she uncovers their hidden secrets and finds herself potentially in peril within her new domestic environment.
In the book, Enzo is the family’s groundskeeper, who also has a story of his own.
Recently, Sklenar hinted to EbMaster at the Vanity Fair Oscars event that the series is quite mysterious and complex, comparing his character, Andrew, to a fusion of Norman Bates and Patrick Bateman.
It’s not overly graphic, yet it’s quite peculiar. It definitely pushes boundaries,” he commented. “I must admit, I have a few loose screws. Few chances come along where one can openly share secrets.
