For the upcoming Raid Day during Pokemon Go’s Might and Mastery season, Mega Absol has been announced as the main attraction! Here’s a rundown of all the event details, such as the required ticket (paid) and fresh moves.

In the world of Pokémon, many Mega Evolutions have been created, and ever since this feature was incorporated into Pokémon Go, most of these transformations have found their place within Niantic’s mobile gaming platform.

Undeniably, Mega Absol stands out among fan favorites, and it’s taking center stage during the Might and Mastery season with its own Raid Day. Make sure to prepare for this unique occasion and keep an eye on every detail, especially the Pokemon’s newly introduced attack!

Mega Absol Raid Day: Date & time

Hey fellow gamers! Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 23, 2025, because that’s when the Mega Absol Raid Day is happening! The action kicks off at 2:00 PM and runs until 5:00 PM in your local time. Can’t wait to join you all on this epic adventure!

For the next three hours, Mega Absol will dominate Mega Raids, showing up more often and having a higher likelihood of being Shiny.

Once players successfully confront and vanquish this spectacular beast, they’ll get an opportunity to capture a standard Absol. Additionally, they’ll receive Mega Energy that can activate the creature’s unique form.

Attack updates – Brutal Swing

From the given event onwards, both Absol and its evolved form, Mega Absol, will gain the ability to master the Dark-type charged move called “Brutal Swing.

Brutal Swing stats

  • Trainer battles: 55 power
  • Gyms & Raid battles: 65 power

Event bonuses

During the Mega Absol Raid Day, these bonuses will be active for all players:

  • The Remote Raid Pass limit will be increased to 20 from Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM until Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 8:00 PM PDT.
  • Receive up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs for a total of six.
  • There are increased chances of encountering Shiny Absol in Mega Raids.

Paid ticket

In exchange for approximately $5.00 (or its equivalent in your local currency), players have the opportunity to obtain a unique ticket, which offers additional perks like bonus rewards.

  • x8 additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs for a daily total of 14.
  • There is an increased chance to get Rare Candy XL from Raid battles.
  • 50% more XP from Raid battles.
  • x2 Stardust from Raid battles.

During the three-hour duration of the event, ticket bonuses will be valid. Additionally, trainers may buy and give away paid tickets as gifts to their buddies. But, it’s important to note that they can only do this if their friendship level is rated ‘Great Friends’ or better.

Until March 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM local time, it’s possible to buy the event tickets within the game store.

Timed Research

During the Mega Absol Raid Day, just like any other time, there will also be a chance for you to participate in a complimentary Time-bound Research event. Successful completion of this research will grant you these rewards and additional benefits.

  • x10,000 Stardust
  • x1,000 additional Stardust for completing a Raid battle (for a total of 2.000 Stardust or 3,000 Stardust with the event ticket)
  • And more!
