In the upcoming update for Dead by Daylight, a terrifying character from Tokyo Ghoul named Ken Kaneki is set to begin his pursuit of Survivors. Here’s some essential information for players.

In the renowned Tokyo Ghoul comic book series and animated show, the central character is Ken Kaneki, a diligent and unassuming individual. His peaceful existence undergoes a drastic change following an unfortunate incident.

Despite an emergency operation that prevents his death, the transplant given to Kaneki is from a ghoul, thereby transforming him into a half-human, half-ghoul creature.

In the forthcoming Tokyo Ghoul collaboration, Dead by Daylight players will encounter the entities they’ll be up against. So far, here’s what Behaviour Interactive has revealed about it.

Dead by Daylight x Tokyo Ghoul release date

The collaboration featuring Tokyo Ghoul is set to debut on Wednesday, April 2nd. In this crossover event with Dead by Daylight, Ken Kaneki will make his debut appearance in the game for the first time. However, it’s important to note that he won’t be the same half-ghoul character fans have come to know from the manga and anime series.

Dead by Daylight’s unqiue spin on Ken Kaneki

In a recent blog post on the PS platform, the developers of DbD shared that their reinterpretation of the character Kaneki involves his mind being pushed to its absolute limit due to the torment inflicted by the ghoul, Jason. Despite overpowering the ghoul, Kaneki is immediately transported into The Entity’s Realm.

In the course of events, he gradually sheds his human qualities, instead succumbing to an insatiable craving for brutality, which leaves him feeling grotesque or monstrous.

In a chilling revelation, survivors will witness the brutal reality when the character’s unique powers, resembling lethal tentacles emerging from his back via his Kagune abilities, are unleashed.

Regardless of changes, one consistent factor remains: the voice actor, Natsuki Hanae, will reprise his role by delivering fresh dialogues for the upcoming chapter in the Dead by Daylight (DbD) series.

Ken Kaneki’s abilities in Dead by Daylight

As a devoted follower, I can tell you that, from what Creative Director Dave Richard shared, we’ve witnessed Kaneki utilize his abilities in past versions of Tokyo Ghoul. However, in the DbD (Dead by Daylight) experience, he will do so with a more malicious intent.

To let the Kaneki Killer character fully embody his ghoulish nature, players can harness the Killer Power to propel him swiftly across the map using his Kagune tentacles. Moreover, users will have the option to seamlessly combine these movements, followed by launching attacks on Survivors.

By executing attacks in this manner, you’ll trigger Kaneki’s Enraged Mode, amplifying his power and enabling an additional charge within the combat sequence.

The distinctive traits of this character are as follows: Hex: Only Misery Remains, Eternally Linked, and No One Escapes. These attributes are likely to motivate players to confront Survivors more assertively, as “Kaneki prefers action over patience and waiting.

His cruelty will likely continue, with the focus on the hybrid’s “predatory instincts” being prominent. This could lead to a fresh interpretation of the saying, “outdo oneself.
