Peermusic has elevated Elizabeth Rodda to the position of President for U.S. Latin, Latin America, and Global Society Relations, according to CEO Mary Megan Peer. Rodda now reports directly to her in this new role.
From now on, Rodda is responsible for managing the company’s Latin projects and new acquisitions in the U.S., Puerto Rico, as well as overseeing initiatives and musical content across South America, Mexico, and Central America. Previously reporting to Rodda is the US Latin Creative team from Peermusic, who will continue to do so while based out of the Miami office. This means that Rodda will now have a broader role in managing the company’s Latin-related activities from his location in Miami.
Rodda will further maintain her role as a liaison for Peermusic with international collecting agencies. Her focus remains on enhancing income generation and ensuring seamless distribution of royalties for all Peermusic composers.
The user’s peer commented: “For the past two years, Liz has been instrumental in advancing Peermusic’s Latin America operations. She has been instrumental in fostering creative work and boosting the earnings of our songwriters in the region. As she takes on a new role to head our US Latin initiatives, we are acknowledging the strong connection between the US Latin and Latin American markets and broadening global opportunities for our Latin writers.
As a music enthusiast, I’m thrilled to be part of Peermusic, a company that has a rich history of advocating for Latin music and championing culturally significant songs. It’s an honor to carry on this legacy for the upcoming generation of music creators. Currently, our creative teams are working tirelessly to attract top talent, provide opportunities for Latin songwriters in the global market, actively pursue synchronization deals, and help elevate the careers of our writers to new heights. I’m privileged to collaborate with Mary Megan and the Peermusic team as we continue to offer our writers unwavering support, a dedicated team, and an unmatched international presence.

The event will feature panels, roundtables, keynote speeches, and exclusive events in partnership with the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM-US) and Critical Minded.
This year’s theme, “Baby, It’s All About Style: How Popular Music, Trends, and Fashion Intersect at the Cutting Edge,” is inspired by a lyric from Leikeli47 in 2017 and represents the first combined event of PopCon and IASPM-US since 2012.
