Warner Bros. Television has elevated long-standing executive, Clancy Collins White, into a freshly established role as the President of Creative Development.
In her position at WBTV, Collins White will now additionally manage casting and research, in addition to scripted programming development. She is supervised by Channing Dungey, who holds the positions of Chairman and CEO for Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD US Networks.
For over two decades, Warner Bros Television has been like a second home to Collins White, and he is profoundly grateful for this latest assignment and eager to embrace his fresh responsibilities. He wishes to express heartfelt gratitude towards Channing for her guidance and unwavering backing. He’s thrilled about the prospect of carrying on our collaboration with our extraordinarily gifted teams and the most gifted storytellers in the industry.

Additionally, Mele Nagler, who oversees WBTV’s casting, has been elevated to the role of Executive Vice President within that department. From now on, she will be overseen by Collins White. In her new position, she will still be responsible for casting all live-action WBTV scripted shows and managing the hiring of studio casting executives and independent casting directors for WBTV’s productions.
Mele Nagler, who manages the casting for WBTV, has been promoted to a higher position. Now she will be supervised by Collins White. Her tasks remain the same, which include overseeing casting for all live-action shows produced by WBTV and hiring the necessary casting staff for these productions.
Under Collins White’s leadership, comedy development is managed by Adrienne Turner, while Parul Agrawal takes charge of drama development. Now, Jeanne Cotton will oversee audience and content research and insights in the area that Collins White supervises.
In this current setup, Dungey is the one who supervises the ongoing programming, which is spearheaded by Vicki Dummer. Brett Paul serves in the position of president at Warner Bros. Television Group and has taken on an additional role as COO for Warner Bros. Discovery US Networks. He reports to Dungey in both capacities. His responsibilities encompass overseeing business and operational aspects for live-action scripted content, WB Unscripted Television, and TV Animation.
For over two decades, Clancy has been a vital component of Warner Bros. Television’s triumph, and I am excited to see her assume an even greater leadership position,” Dungey expressed. “Storytelling is the core of our work, and Clancy’s discerning taste, cooperative attitude, fervor for producing excellent television, and commitment to our creative partners make her the perfect choice as our creative leader moving forward. Mele has been instrumental in assembling talented casts for our most prominent ongoing series. I am pleased to acknowledge her exceptional work with this well-deserved promotion.
Collins White has spent more than two decades at WBTV, starting back in 2004 as Vice President of Current Programming. Over time, she climbed the ladder to become Executive Vice President of Drama Development, and then finally reached her current position as Executive Vice President of Creative Affairs in 2020.
During her tenure at the studio, she has been involved in projects such as DC’s “Arrow”-verse dramas, “Gotham,” “The Leftovers,” “Lucifer,” “Maid,” “Watchmen,” and numerous others. Her latest productions that have been released include “The Pitt” on Max, “Running Point” on Netflix, and “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” on CBS.
Before my stint at WBTV, I had the privilege of working with some amazing teams at various entertainment powerhouses such as MGM Worldwide Television Group, Paramount Domestic Television, New World Television, Four Point Entertainment, Wilshire Court Productions, and Katz/Rush Entertainment.
In her latest position, Nagler serves as the senior vice president and head of casting, a role she assumed in 2022. Prior to this, she joined WBTV back in 2015. Throughout her career at WBTV, she has been instrumental in various projects such as “Black Lightning,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” “Manifest,” and “Queen Sugar.” With over two decades of casting experience spanning television, film, and theatre, Nagler brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.
I’m thrilled to keep Warner Bros Television as my workplace,” Nagler stated. “Working with top-notch executives while backing some of the most gifted creators in the business is a privilege. I can’t express enough gratitude towards Channing and Clancy for their faith in me. I’m excited about our future cooperation.
