Overwatch 2 Devs Hint at Exciting Return of Fan-Favorite Collaborations!

The creators of Overwatch 2 hinted at potential future collaborations similar to those with LE SSERAFIM, however, they mentioned that there might be some conditions or restrictions involved.

Overwatch 2 has teamed up with various intellectual properties including Avatar: The Last Airbender, Cowboy Bebop, and One-Punch Man, a common practice in gaming. However, for the first time, Overwatch is revisiting its partnership with LE SSERAFIM, introducing both revamped skins along with new ones.

For those fans who aren’t keen on LE SSERAFIM’s comeback or the event itself, Blizzard hinted that this girl group might not be the only collaboration returning to the game. With a variety of collaborations to choose from, there’s a possibility any of them could make a return under suitable circumstances.

During a chat with PC Gamer, Aimee Dennett (Associate Director of Product Management) mentioned that the team often considers reviving past partnerships.

In terms of repeating collaborative projects, Dennett stated that we’re open-minded. We wouldn’t revisit a project merely for the sake of repetition, but there’s no previous collaboration we’ve ruled out completely, saying we’d never do it again.

Although we’re unsure about the future collaborations, it’s important to mention that LE SSERAFIM’s upcoming fifth EP titled “Hot” will be released on March 14. This timeline matches Dennett’s hint about renewing collaborations.

The Last Airbender and fresh animated content on the way. Given these upcoming releases, they could make excellent choices for potential future collaborations.
