Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Launches In June

Sony and Kojima Productions have revealed that Death Stranding 2: At the Shoreline is set to debut on June 26th exclusively for PlayStation 5 at a price of $70. Pre-ordering for this highly anticipated game will be available from March 17th onwards.

A ten-minute long movie-style trailer was unveiled, featuring the game’s theme song titled “To the Wilder” by the artist Woodkid. This trailer showcases various actors portraying the characters in the game, such as Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, George Miller, Troy Baker, Elle Fanning, Fatih Akin, Shioli Kutsuna, Alastair Duncan, Alissa Jung, Nicolas Winding Refn, Lucas Larinelli, and Deborah Wilson.

Towards the conclusion of the trailer, there is a scene featuring a band of armed individuals. The speaker comments on how the ancestor of the United Cities of America, the United States of America, was deeply rooted in gun culture. It might be that one of Death’s Stranding 2’s main themes could explore America’s obsession and fascination with firearms.

Preordering Death Stranding 2 ahead of time grants you early access to the Quokka custom hologram, along with Level 1, 2, and 3 Silver Skeletons: Battle, Boost, and Bokka enhancements for protagonist Sam Bridges. These are leg attachments that boost his capabilities in various ways.

The Digital Deluxe Version offers the complete game, a head start to play it for 48 hours before release, an upgraded Skeletons version named Gold, early access to Level 1 Multiplayer Bullet Machine Gun, and three updates: Quokka (Patch 70), Chiral Feline (Patch 71), and Why Me? (Patch 72). The total price is $80.

As a gamer eagerly anticipating the release, I can’t help but be drawn to the enticing allure of the Collector’s Edition. Unlike the Deluxe Edition, it offers an array of exclusive goodies such as a striking 15″ Magellan Man Statue and a charming 3″ Dollman figurine. To top it off, you’ll receive a few captivating art cards and a personalized letter penned by the legendary Hideo Kojima himself. All these treasures are carefully stored within a collector’s box. However, it’s important to note that this edition doesn’t come with a physical copy of the game and will set you back $230.

Following the launch of Death Stranding 2, Kojima Productions plans to shift focus towards projects like OD and Physint, both of which were affected by the SAG-AFTRA strike as mentioned by Hideo Kojima himself.
