Previously, in Season 1, Alice and Kat were unable to prevent Colton’s demise. However, during The Way Home Season 3, there seemed to be a glimmer of hope for his prolonged survival, but unfortunately, it was not meant to be. Beware: spoilers follow!

Following Jacob’s vanishing in 1999, Colton was devastated by his loss, leading to his untimely death in a car accident in 2000. Through the extraordinary power of time travel, as portrayed in The Way Home Season 3, he was revitalized back to life during his teenage years.

Besides the year 1974, the final episode also depicted Alice making a final trip back to the year 1999, where she encountered Colton. There, she revealed some long-overdue truths about their family that Colton already knew, even going as far as disclosing what had transpired with Jacob. Essentially, this implies that Colton found out everything, including the fate of Jacob, just hours before his demise.

Colton replies with, “Are you my granddaughter?” which she confirms. They then hugged. Afterward, Colton shares that he no longer tried to utilize the pond since he believed it would be harmful if he revealed its abilities to Grandma Del.

As a devoted fan, I often ponder about Jacob’s return. Alice inquires about the time frame, and Colton mentions it’s February 2000 – the day he tragically passed away. “Jacob will visit our home again, Colton,” she assures me, subtly hinting that I won’t get to meet him either. This reminder of Kat losing her father resonates deeply within me, and I understand there’s no power to alter the events yet to unfold.

It seems like you’re wondering if Alice, having already experienced Season 1, would recall all events involving her and another character from Season 3. However, altering the timeline by doing so is impossible, isn’t it?
