The well-known former adult film actor, Rocco Siffredi, who was the inspiration behind the Netflix series “Supersex,” is now set to appear in a new Italian drama titled “Blue.” This upcoming production is centered around the realm of erotic social media.
Filming is currently taking place in central Italy’s Marche region for a movie titled, “Luce’s Dilemma.” As suggested in the promotional materials, the story revolves around a young female student named Luce, who faces challenging decisions as she maneuvers through the complex and misleading realm of erotic websites and social media. This independent film is helmed by debut director Eleonora Puglia.
Italy’s PiperFilm is handling international sales and will release “Blue” in Italy.
With Siffredi, the “Blue” series boasts young Italian actresses such as Alexia Cozzi (“Love Dilemma,” “Studio Battaglia”) who portrays Luce, and Shaheen Barletta (“Prisma”). In this production, Siffredi takes on the role of Luce’s father.
As a passionate film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that “Blue” is a collaborative effort between Camaleo Film in Italy and Agreswyna Banda in Poland. This remarkable production has received backing from esteemed institutions such as the Marche Film Commission and Lazio Cinema International.
As a passionate film enthusiast, I find myself reflecting on the remarkable career of the iconic figure, Rocco Siffredi. Known for his prolific work in the adult entertainment industry, with an impressive portfolio of around 1,400 hardcore films, he decided to hang up his performing boots in 2022. Yet, he continues to steer the ship as a director and producer. His Budapest-based empire, Rocco Siffredi Production, is famously recognized as the world’s first “university of porn,” housing the esteemed Siffredi Hard Academy. This institution, much like any other university, aims to nurture and educate aspiring talents in the art of filmmaking, but with a unique focus on adult films.
Beyond his work in the adult entertainment industry, Siffredi has appeared in two art films by French director Catherine Breillat – “Romance” (1999) and “Anatomy of Hell” (2004) – and various Italian movies, with Marco Risi’s Christmas comedy (“Natale a 5 stelle”) being the latest.
In addition, Siffredi was featured in the documentary titled “Rocco,” which was helmed by the French filmmaking team of Thierry Demaiziere and Alban Teurlai and premiered at the 2016 Venice Film Festival.
The film titled “Supersex” made its debut at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival and was later released on Netflix. In this production, Alessandro Borghi portrayed Siffredi, Jasmine Trinca took on the role of a fictional character named Lucia, Adriano Giannini played Rocco’s half-brother Tommaso, and Saul Nanni (“The Leopard”) brought Rocco to life as a younger man.
