Amouranth reveals Twitch CEO admitted they “shadow banned” her channel

Streamer Amouranth revealed her steps for getting her Twitch account removed from shadowban status, following the CEO’s admission that it was triggered by an algorithm focusing on “mature content.

Amouranth is a thriving entrepreneur, investor, and live streamer, yet she has gained significant notoriety in the digital world due to content that’s more suited for adults, such as popularizing ‘hot tub streams’ and ASMR content with a subtly sensual undertone.

Previously established on Twitch, where she gained popularity, Amouranth expressed concerns over being “covertly restricted” – a situation in which she wasn’t officially banned, but her content was neither suggested nor easily discoverable through searches.

On TopMob’s sensational talk show, Amouranth disclosed that she had received confirmation directly from Twitch’s CEO, Dan Clancy, about the lifting of the shadow ban, following his awareness of the situation.

In truth, she lavished compliments on the present Twitch head, acknowledging the enhanced dialogue skills, and expressing that whenever she contacted him, he promptly responded.

She remarked, “The new CEO Dan seems more relaxed now, quite approachable and easy-going with creative individuals. He values our opinions greatly as well.

I managed to have my account removed from being shadow-banned simply by speaking with him. He explained that it was an algorithm issue causing this, and there’s a feature that temporarily locks accounts, possibly due to mature content, which mine had been for a full year.

I explained to him that unlike many others, my streams don’t focus on a ‘butt camera’ gimmick. Instead, I stream real-life activities with animals. He responded by saying, ‘You’re correct. I’ll remove that misconception from your profile.’

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve noticed that even though I appreciate the support from my community, Amouranth doesn’t stream on Twitch all that frequently. In fact, in the year of 2025, she’s only broadcasted three times on the platform. Instead, she seems to prefer streaming on Kick, which is where you can find her more often these days.

Following the attempted burglary event at her residence, the streamer announced on Twitch that further broadcasts are planned in the near future. However, she mentioned that she would be temporarily stepping away for some rest before resuming.
