Many years after its original release date, Aki no Tsuru is back in R6 Siege

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Rainbow Six Siege, and Ubisoft is commemorating it by offering skins that haven’t been accessible in the game for quite some time. Among these, one of the designs is named “Aki no Tsuru“.

Aki no Tsuru is back in R6 Siege

Aki no Tsuru is an exceptionally old, seasonal weapon skin that was once available for purchase in the game around late 2016 and early 2017 during the Operation Red Crow period. This corresponds to the fourth season of Year One, which introduced popular characters like Hibana and Echo, along with the widely loved map called Skyscraper, into the game.

Later on, Aki no Tsuru was out of reach for quite a while. This changed in 2024 with the launch of Marketplace, a platform where players can exchange skins. Consequently, you could purchase that skin from another player. Yet, its scarcity made it quite costly. However, things have shifted now.

Two days past, the Operation Prep Phase kick-started. The inaugural season for Year Ten boasts a distinctive battle pass, where numerous trial offers come with Celebration Packs. These packs house many legendary skins from earlier seasons, including Aki no Tsuru, one of them. You can secure it by frequently playing the game and having a bit of luck. Alternatively, you could boost your odds of getting this skin by investing Renown in the purchase of Celebration Packs.

Remember that Aki no Tsuru is an ancient seasonal skin. Originally, it was only compatible with weapons available when this artwork debuted. At present, there’s no word on whether it has been updated to work with more recent weapon types upon its re-release. Fingers crossed that it will be!
