Fans eagerly anticipating Destiny 2’s Guardian Games 2025 won’t need to endure their excitement for long, as the event is set to take place around mid-March, bringing a fresh game mode, enticing prizes, and additional features along with it.
An annual tournament for every Destiny 2 gamer, called Guardian Games, started in 2020. This event brings together all three classes – Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks – to compete against each other. Since its introduction, these classes have been battling it out in this class-based competition to determine which one will emerge as the champion.
2021’s gathering won’t deviate from the norm; Bungie is extending invitations for participants to join them in a bid to snag fresh armor ensembles, firearms, and additional goodies.

Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2025 start date
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! In a recent developer livestream, Bungie confirmed that this year’s Guardian Games will commence on my calendar’s Tuesday, March 11. Guess what? That very same day marks the arrival of Episode Heresy Act 2! Two major gaming events on the same day – it’s going to be a fantastic week!
Guardian Games 2025 boss rush mode
In the current state of information, Bungie hasn’t revealed much, but the upcoming boss rush mode promises to deliver a concise gaming experience that may not be as comprehensive as a full-fledged Pantheon mode.
Instead, the challenge for players is to defeat bosses, accumulate as many points as they can, and reap the rewards that come their way. The studio intends to disclose further information in their forthcoming blog post on Twitter.
Guardian Games 2025 rewards
Based on earlier indications, it appears that the celebrations in 2025 will bestow upon Guardians a total of three distinct armor ensembles themed around gladiators.
In the realm of Eververse, players will gain these collections gratis by accruing Bright Dust. This currency is obtainable via Pathfinder activities, seasonal missions, and weekly tasks.
The armor sets include:
- Hunters: Glory of Apollo
- Titans: Honor of Ares
- Warlocks: Favor of Athena
Furthermore, the Guardian Games 2025 event is set to introduce a fresh Legendary Weapon into Destiny 2 – specifically, an Arc-themed Trace Rifle dubbed Keraunios.
This weapon is designed primarily for Player vs Environment (PVE) combat, considering the numerous boss battles that players are going to encounter. Regarding its perks, it can accommodate abilities like Overflow, Triple Tap, Detonator Beam, Jolting Feedback, and Rolling Storm.

Weapons returning in Guardian Games 2025
During this year’s Guardian Games celebrations, we will see the comeback of several weapons. Specifically, the Hullabaloo grenade launcher, Taraxippos scout rifle, and The Title SMG will make an appearance.

We’re bringing back some popular weapons for this year’s Guardian Games! Expect to see the Hullabaloo grenade launcher, Taraxippos scout rifle, and The Title SMG in action during the festivities.
If the future events follow the pattern of the 2024 edition, participants can acquire characters like Taraxippos by finishing tasks to obtain Medallions. These Medallions can later be traded for rewards.
