Monster Hunter Wilds Sells Over 8 Million Copies in Three Days

In just three days after its release, Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds has managed to sell more than eight million copies. This makes it not only the fastest-selling game in the Monster Hunter franchise, but also the speediest for Capcom to reach such a significant sales milestone with any of their titles.

In terms of sales during this specific timeframe, Monster Hunter Rise sold approximately four million copies, whereas Monster Hunter World exceeded five million in both physical shipments and digital sales. It’s yet unknown if Monster Hunter Wilds will break the record for Capcom’s best-selling game, but it has undeniably started off strongly.

The game titled “Monster Hunter Wilds” can be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. Built using RE Engine, it introduces a number of firsts for the series, including cross-platform multiplayer, effortless transition from base to hunts, and many more features. For a comprehensive overview, take a look at our review; we awarded it eight out of ten, commending its art direction, combat system, and innovative additions.

Just like with previous games, I’m pumped that Monster Hunter Wilds is getting free content updates, adding fresh monsters and Event Quests to the mix! Starting in early April, we can expect the first Title Update, which will include Mizutsune joining the hunt alongside the Gathering Hub. Can’t wait to see what other surprises they have in store for us!
