From September 14, 2023 to July 26, 2026, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will be hosting “Jaws: The Exhibition”. This event marks the golden anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking film, “Jaws”, and is the first large-scale exhibition at the museum dedicated to a single movie. Additionally, it represents the largest “Jaws” display ever assembled by Universal Pictures.
Boasting more than 200 items on display, this exhibition showcases concept sketches by production designer Joe Alves, the actual costume donned by Roy Scheider in his Brody role, original blueprints of the shark design by Frank Wurmser, and a genuine prop dorsal fin used during filming.

‘Bruce the Shark,’ the lone remaining model from the movie “Jaws,” has been showcased at the Academy Museum since its launch in 2021. Standing at a towering 25 feet, Bruce is the museum’s largest exhibit and will continue to be part of the display during the exhibition.
