Sonic Movie Reacts To Shrek 5’s Divisive Character Redesigns

Recently, DreamWorks unveiled a sneak peek at Shrek 5, and among the numerous fan reactions, there were comments about the art style for Shrek and his kin not appearing quite as expected. Fans noted that Shrek’s revamped character design seemed slightly out of place compared to how we remembered him in previous appearances. The official TikTok account of Sonic the Hedgehog movie offered an amusing response to this feedback.

Many people might remember the initial design of Sonic the Hedgehog in the movie left a lot to be improved, as fans were vocal about how the blue character didn’t seem authentic. The filmmakers addressed this by revamping his appearance, and as a result, the Sonic movie series has grossed over one billion dollars.

On TikTok, the Sonic account shared a video, addressing green ogres who might be seeking guidance. It featured clips of the original Sonic character model alongside an upgraded version, accompanied by the suggestion to “Pay attention!

The upcoming Shrek 5 marks a decade since the release of Shrek Forever After (2010).
