Enthusiasts of Valorant are elated since Riot Games has verified that a reduction in power (nerf) for the character Tejo will be implemented in update 10.04.
In early 2025, Riot Games stirred things up in the Valorant game dynamics with the debut of Tejo, an Initiator character originating from Colombia. This newcomer boasts some formidable skills, such as his Armageddon Ultimate and Guided Salvo.
Players have encountered difficulties with the Guided Salvo, particularly those who frequently use Killjoy. Unlike the dispersal of Clove smoke, which forms clouds, this ability causes a heavy barrage of rockets to fall on a specific area, dealing 70 points of damage every half second.
Several players who often use Killjoy noted that his rockets can harm Lockdown’s ultimate ability, drawing a parallel with Breach’s Aftershock.
Tejo nerfed again in Valorant 10.04 update
In the 10.01 update, they anticipated adjustments (nerfs) to resolve this problem, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Yet, it seems that in the 10.04 update, character Tejo will undergo another round of adjustments (nerfs).
During the conclusion of Masters Bangkok on March 2nd, a modification to the nerf was unveiled. This adjustment reduced the damage from 70 to 65 and eliminated its ability to destroy Killjoy’s ultimate. Additionally, it now only inflicts half the damage on objects.
One supporter commented, “Honestly, all those changes appear quite beneficial.” Another expressed frustration, “It’s unbelievable that it took so long for these modifications. From a strategic and gameplay perspective, they made no sense at all.” However, another fan was pleased, stating, “At last, I can play KJ again!

Some individuals believe that the adjustments made to Tejo haven’t been sufficient and that there are still necessary modifications to be made. One person stated, “65 is still an excessive amount of damage.” Another individual expressed, “To be honest, I expected Tejo’s signature abilities to receive more adjustments than what was implemented.
