Super7 has unveiled a fresh batch of action figures for their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line, featuring some well-known allies and adversaries. In 2020, they brought the 2003 animated TMNT series into the real world with action figures of the four turtle brothers. This year, enthusiasts can grab figures of Casey Jones, Master Splinter, The Shredder, a Foot Clan ninja, each priced at $55 and equipped with various accessories. For an added treat, Super7 will also sell them in a set that includes special bonuses.
Commencing the scene is Casey Jones, the beloved sports-themed vigilante hailing from New York. Similar to his animated character, Jones equips sports equipment such as baseball bats, a hockey stick, and a golf club, along with an unmasked head sculpt and one showcasing his iconic hockey mask. The figure boasts ample articulation, allowing you to effortlessly assume the “Goongala” stance if desired.
The Splinter mini-figure is impressive, resembling the wise sensei from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This collectible includes a minifigure of Splinter before his encounter with mutagenic ooze, portrayed as a highly intelligent rat, and also features the baby Turtles. Additionally, it comes with extra hands, a walking stick, and an additional head showing Splinter in a peaceful meditation posture.
On the malevolent side, the figure of Foot Ninja stands battle-ready. Armed with throwing stars, swords, a bo staff, and three distinct headsculpts along with additional hands, it might be wise to collect a multitude of them for an impressive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles diorama setup.
Lastly, no fan collection feels fully-fledged without the mighty Shredder figure. Standing tall at seven inches, this imposing character is brimming with blades, just as you’d expect from such a formidable adversary. Alongside him, you’ll find his signature sword, extra hands, and an Oroku Saki headsculpt that truly captures the essence of this iconic villain. However, what makes this set truly special is the intricate figure of Utrom Ch’Rell, the fugitive who once occupied the mechanical shell we know as Shredder.
In the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, a fascinating twist was introduced to the character of Shredder. For the first time on screen, the leader of the Foot Clan was revealed to be a robot shell inhabited by Ch’Rell, who had been inspired to create this demonic figure based on ancient legends. This revelation added depth and complexity to the villain we have come to know and fear.
For the bundle deal, you can expect the following exclusive parts inside of it:
- Yelling Ch’Rell,
- Alternate Casey Jones headsculpt
- A gauntlet
- Glow-in-the-dark Sword of Tengu
If you happened to overlook it earlier, there’s still an opportunity for you to preorder the initial release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures, which were unveiled last year. Unfortunately, the special bundle pack including extra heads isn’t offered anymore, but each turtle is available individually on Entertainment Earth’s site instead.
