How to Farm Gold Crowns in Monster Hunter Wilds

In the Monster Hunter series, crowns (or previously) posed significant challenges on the path to platinum. But with the introduction of Monster Hunter Wilds, various enhancements have been incorporated into the franchise’s overall experience, often referred to as “quality of life” improvements. Luckily, some updates have made it less difficult to earn those elusive golden crowns.

For beginners navigating Monster Hunter Wilds, most creatures exhibit differing sizes. If you come across one in its smallest form, it will display a miniature golden crown symbol, while if it’s in its largest form, it will show a larger golden crown symbol.

To successfully conquer Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll require 52 crowns, specifically 26 of each kind. Three monsters in the game maintain a consistent size. In this tutorial, I’ll show you various methods to gather crowns in Monster Hunter Wilds, whether you’re playing solo or with friends.

Farming Crowns in Monster Hunter Wilds Solo!

For a solitary farming experience, we’ll employ a method known as “save reversion” or simply “save scumming.” Here’s how it works:

1. Save your game before making any significant decisions or actions in the game.
2. Make the decision or action you want to try out. If things don’t go as planned, don’t worry!
3. Load your saved game and try a different approach or decision.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as many times as necessary until you achieve the desired outcome. This way, you can experiment with various options without worrying about permanent consequences.

  1. Turn off your PS5’s internet in Settings and open the game.
  2. Go to the region where the monster you want appears.
  3. Enter the tent and set the conditions for Abundance and any time of day.
  4. Check which monsters have spawned. If any/some you want have appeared, go to them and use the binoculars to check for the presence of a crown.
  5. If no crown has appeared, CLOSE THE GAME WITHOUT SAVING and repeat the process until one appears.
  6. When the crown appears, slay or capture the monster and SAVE THE GAME!

How to Farm Crowns in Monster Hunter Wilds with Friends!

  1. Turn off your PS5’s internet in Settings and open the game.
  2. Go to the region where the monster you want appears.
  3. Enter the camp tent and set the conditions for Abundance and any time of day.
  7. After slaying or capturing the monster, go to Alma and open the Fieldwork History menu. All your latest hunts are saved here. Just save it as an investigation and you can “trade” crowns with your friends.
  8. Each saved “Crown Investigation” can be repeated up to 3 times. If several of your friends are playing, the grind will be considerably smaller! You can save up to 50 Investigations, almost the entirety of the crowns. Remember to delete hunts that aren’t for monster with crowns so your tab doesn’t get messy.
