‘Alma’s Way’ Renewed for Season 3 at PBS Kids (EXCLUSIVE)

The popular animated series, “Alma’s Way,” produced by Fred Rogers Productions, has been granted another season – its third – on PBS Kids.

As a passionate cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that the upcoming season promises a whopping 15 half-hour episodes, among which is a captivating 22-minute musical spectacular inspired by “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” Crafted for our little ones aged between 4 and 6, “Alma’s Way” is a magical creation masterminded by Sonia Manzano and produced in collaboration with Pipeline Studios. I can hardly wait to immerse myself in this enchanting journey!

Future episodes of this show will keep showcasing the authentic charm of New York City by featuring landmarks such as the New York Public Library, the subway (6 train), and another trip to the famous American Museum of Natural History. In Season 3, you’ll find a diverse array of tales that delve into everyday situations like coping with the passing of a close friend, mastering stress management when things don’t go as intended, and helping a pal through tough times. The episodes will also focus on educational objectives like problem-solving, self-expression, wise decision-making, and more, which are key aspects that this series is recognized for.

Ellen Doherty, chief creative officer at Fred Rogers Productions and show’s executive producer, expressed her excitement that viewers will continue their learning journey with Alma and her companions in Season 3. ‘Alma consistently demonstrates problem-solving skills through kindness, optimism, and self-assuredness, regardless of the challenge,’ said Doherty.”

“Ellen Doherty, who is both the head creative officer at Fred Rogers Productions and executive producer of the show, shared her enthusiasm about Season 3. ‘Alma shows us how to tackle issues with kindness, optimism, and self-confidence,’ said Doherty, explaining that Alma’s approach remains consistent no matter what the dilemma may be.

Manzano stated, “It’s crucial that children feel valued, and it’s essential they see themselves represented in TV characters. I’m proud to collaborate with Fred Rogers Productions, PBS KIDS, and Pipeline Studios to accomplish this aim, the Alma way!

Sara DeWitt, PBS KIDS’ senior vice president and general manager, expressed her enthusiasm about expanding the reach of ‘Alma’s Way’ to families nationwide, emphasizing its focus on community and the enjoyable learning experiences it offers in each episode.
