City Connection has announced that they are set to launch “Farland Saga I&II: Saturn Tribute” across multiple platforms including PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One in Japan on June 26th. In this release, the digital versions will offer separate titles, whereas the physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PS5 will come with both parts together.
These upcoming releases are set to resurrect two timeless strategy RPG games from Japan: “Farland Saga” and its sequel more commonly recognized in Japan as “The Guidepost of Time” or “Farland Saga: Toki no Michishirube.” “Farland Saga” belongs to the second sub-series within the broader Farland metaseries, following “Farland Story” and being followed by “Farland Odyssey” and “Farland Symphony.” Today, the creators of these games, TGL, are recognized as visual novel publisher Entergram.
Initially, The First Farland Saga debuted on PC in 1996, and its successor arrived the next year in 1997. Likewise, Farland Saga II was released on PlayStation in 1999. However, City Connection’s versions of these games will be based on the Sega Saturn editions that were published by TGL in 1998. Consequently, the Steam listings for both titles cite 1998 as their “original” launch date.

Leon and Ralph, orphans of a devastating war, were brought up by the knight Brian and have developed into formidable combatants over time.

Escaping with a blameless princess who is falsely charged, they are labeled as fugitives due to their association.
