Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Surprisingly Close to Release

There’s always something brewing when it comes to the devil’s schemes, and if all goes well, the second season of Daredevil: Born Again is expected to premiere on Disney Plus before too long.

Since the finale of Daredevil Season 3, which stands as the top Marvel TV series so far, quite a bit has transpired. Most notably, the debut of Disney Plus, marking the end of the studio’s Netflix-based small screen universe.

Following brief cameos by Matt Murdock and Kingpin in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, it was announced that a new Daredevil series would be developed in 2022, titled Born Again. This title references the hero’s comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not a direct adaptation of Frank Miller’s renowned comic book storyline with the same name.

Approximately a fortnight from now, the much-anticipated show is due – and with some good planning, we may not have to endure an extended hiatus before Season 2 begins.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 set for 2026 release

Indeed, it appears that Marvel TV chief Brad Winderbaum has hinted at a potential release for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 in the year 2026.

He shared with Screen Rant that this is the current plan – Season 2 will air next year, followed by Seasons 3 and beyond. He believes the world we’re in offers countless tales waiting to be spun on the streets of New York.

Perhaps you’re finding yourself thinking, “That’s still a ways off.” Yet, these days, there’s been a shift in TV programming where extended breaks between seasons are now quite frequent.

Instead of waiting an entire year for new episodes, shows like Severance Season 2 have opted for a three-year gap between seasons. Similarly, House of the Dragon Season 3 and The Boys Season 5 are set to debut two years after their respective previous seasons. Traditionally, annual releases were common, but the upcoming series Born Again is planning to adhere to this schedule as much as possible.

Winderbaum noted, “Marvel’s core essence has roots deep in our past – from our early publishing days with Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and the original Marvel team. It’s all about New York, and having the opportunity to film here and create a story that reflects New York, produced by native New Yorkers, is essential to the series.

It’s important to clarify that only Season 2 has received formal approval so far. The decision regarding a possible Season 3 is still pending from Marvel.

According to Marvel’s leader, the show is definitely designed for multiple seasons, but they haven’t yet determined exactly how many it will have, as shared with Entertainment Weekly.

We’re crossing our fingers for an easy journey ahead for the show, considering how challenging its creation has been so far. Initially, Matt Corman and Chris Ord were in charge of reviving it, but later on, Dario Scardapane (known for his work on The Punisher), Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead took over, aligning the show’s tone more closely with the Netflix series.

In essence, Charlie Cox stated during a press event that occasionally he encounters fans who ask if the show is as ominous, to which he responds with a smile, implying that while it may seem dark, they’ll be alright.
