Bandai Namco Announced Anna Willians Return To TEKKEN 8, Season 2 Roadmap & TEKKEN World Tour Details

Bandai Namco recently revealed Season 2 of their widely-loved fighting game, Tekken 8, and they’ve confirmed that four new characters will be joining the King of Iron Fist Tournament. Among these newcomers is the first DLC character, Anna Williams, who will make her return to Tekken 8 this April, accessible through the Character Pass.

Anna Williams is the younger sibling of Nina Williams and a proficient assassin who first appeared in the original TEKKEN game in 1994. She has been a recurring character across various subsequent installments with the exception of TEKKEN 4. She can be found in TEKKEN Tag Tournament, its sequel, and TEKKEN 3D. Anna is set to reappear as the initial playable downloadable content (DLC) character included in both the TEKKEN 8 Season 2 Character & Stage Pass and the Character Pass.

According to what was shared during the TEKKEN Talk Live stream, the Season 2 Character & Stage Pass and Character Pass for TEKKEN 8 will become available across all platforms on April 1st, 2025. Those who have either pass will enjoy a 72-hour early access period starting from March 31st, 2025, to play as Anna Williams before she is officially accessible to all players on April 3rd, 2025.

Similarly, Season 6 of TEKKEN 8 will offer six fresh DLC packs, with two additional stages among them. The debut stage is scheduled for release this coming summer, while the second stage is planned for winter arrival. Much like the first playable character added as DLC, all new content will initially be accessible to pass holders during a 72-hour Early Access period before it becomes available to the general public.

During the TEKKEN Talk Live broadcast, it was also revealed that there would be modifications to gameplay for all characters, as well as updates to the Rank Match system. Among the changes discussed by the developer are leaderboard resets and the introduction of new “high tier ranks” for players to strive towards. Players will begin the season with a fresh rank based on updates, and their matches throughout the season will be determined primarily by the rank points of their highest-rated character.

To wrap it up, the developer has unveiled fresh information regarding the TEKKEN World Tour 2025 schedule, commencing with EVO Japan in May 2025. As per an official declaration, alterations to the DOJO point system and qualification for the Top 8 have been implemented for this year’s tournament; further details are available on the official TEKKEN World Tour website.
