Abhishek Bachchan Father-Daughter Dance Drama ‘Be Happy’ Sets Prime Video Debut (EXCLUSIVE)

The upcoming Indian dance drama on Prime Video titled “Be Happy,” featuring Abhishek Bachchan, has set the date for its worldwide debut.

As a passionate cinephile, I found myself utterly captivated by the heartwarming tale directed by Remo D’Souza himself, produced under his own banner, Remo Dsouza Entertainment Pvt Ltd, with Lizelle Remo D’Souza serving as producer. The story revolves around the beautiful bond between a dedicated single father, Shiv (played by Amitabh Bachchan), and his sharp-minded daughter, Dhara (Inayat Verma), who harbors dreams of dancing on the nation’s most prestigious reality show. However, when an unforeseen predicament jeopardizes her aspirations, Shiv embarks on a breathtaking voyage to keep his daughter’s dreams alive and well.

In my latest film critique, I’m thrilled to share that the captivating Nora Fatehi graces the screen alongside cinematic titan Amitabh Bachchan and the talented Vineet Kumar Verma. Notably, we also have the esteemed Nassar, the hilarious Johnny Lever, and the radiant Harleen Sethi contributing to this impressive ensemble cast.

Remo D’Souza expressed that ‘Be Happy’ is a heartfelt passion project for Lizelle and him, as it tells an emotionally resonant tale of a unique bond between a father and daughter, beautifully conveyed through music and dance. This bond is relatable across cultures, and they aimed to portray it in a genuine yet inspiring manner. Working with Prime Video on this film has been a remarkable experience, with their consistent backing throughout the process. The cast was extraordinary; they infused the story with so much emotion, making it even more impactful.

Nikhil Madhok, the head of originals at Prime Video India, commented: “Abhishek Bachchan heads an exceptional cast in this film that follows a father’s resolute quest to fulfill his daughter’s dreams. The performances are moving, filled with warmth and positivity. Remo D’Souza’s narrative provides a unique angle, making this a captivating, inspiring, and unforgettable journey.

The movie that the streamer is releasing will be accessible in Hindi, along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, upon its premiere not just within India but also across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on March 14.
