xQc splurged $100,000 on valuable first-edition Fossil booster boxes from the Pokemon Trading Card Game, and his excitement soared as he unearthed an impressive collection while live-streaming the unboxing.
xQc has a long history with the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Towards the close of 2024, he exhibited his impressive vintage collection, including an original Charizard from the basic set and the rare Ancient Mew card, which were exclusively distributed to attendees at screenings of Pokemon the Movie 2000: The Power of One.
During a live stream on February 25, 2025, xQc disclosed to his audience that he splurged an additional $100,000 on Pokémon booster packs, further expanding his costly collection.

Due to their steep cost, it’s not unexpected that these boosters are relatively scarce, featuring as they do three sealed first-edition Pokémon boxes and a Fossil booster pack.
In the game, we strive to gather them all, but certain Pokemon cards hold greater value compared to others. This is especially true for unique designs or early packs. The first edition Fossil cards, introduced in 1999, are among the hardest to find globally and were the third expansion set produced for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
xQc buys $100k worth of first-edition Pokemon TCG boxes
Although it was tough to locate, xQc revealed that he had bought three packs for the initial Fossil set’s first edition; one of them was promptly displayed during his live broadcast.
“Here’s one of them for you. First edition, pristine condition PSA 10 possible box.”
For greater clarity on the uniqueness of this collection, xQc asserted that it’s possible viewers may not witness anyone else unboxing these items in the future.
Assuring his followers that he’s neither boasting nor showing off, he emphasized, “There aren’t many of these items remaining worldwide, so witnessing one being unveiled in real time is quite extraordinary.

Following a quick chat about the Fossil set, it was moment for xQc to rip open the packs and discover what Pokemon were concealed within. Although there weren’t any Charizard or rare cards, xQc accumulated a variety of bird creatures, which he deemed an impressive find.
In simpler terms, these specific Pokémon – Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Aerodactyl, Lapras, and two Gengars (one of them being a holographic one) – were all removed from their packs.

Upon unboxing additional containers, xQc found an extraordinary treasure trove, as his girlfriend revealed a First Edition Blaine’s Charizard worth $5,000, along with a Snorlax holographic card and further prized items.
Though content with his discoveries, xQc expressed his discontentment for not drawing a Dragonite and admitted that he would have been thrilled if the dragon had emerged in the pack instead.
