In a heated response, streaming star xQc took aim at Dr Disrespect following the latter’s public criticism towards streamers Dr Lupo and NICKMERCS, alleging they showed disregard towards him.
On February 24th, Dr Disrespect took to YouTube and lashed out at his ex-friends who had withdrawn from him after the controversy surrounding his mid-2024 Twitch ban. He expressed his anger towards them during a passionate rant.
As a gamer, I’ve got to call it like I see it: “I honestly believe that NICKMERCS is the most cowardly individual in this gaming world we share. Lupo, come on, he’s just pretending. I’ve held my tongue about this in the past, but today, I can’t keep quiet anymore. Honestly, I think these guys are the most insincere individuals in our industry, man. You feel me, champions?
Doc’s remarks swiftly gained widespread popularity, igniting discussions across various social media platforms and drawing responses from notable figures in the creative community such as xQc, who shared their thoughts on the topic extensively.
In simpler terms, Dr. Disrespect was removed from a gaming session involving Nickmercs, DrLupo, and other critics, following the news of his permanent ban for sending inappropriate messages to a minor.

xQc blasts Dr Disrespect for calling out NICKMERCS & Dr Lupo
xQc decided to check out Doc’s live stream, wanting to understand why there seemed to be a commotion. It was evident from his actions that he did not share the same views as the streamer regarding his old acquaintances.
Regardless of who knows whom, if you encounter someone’s spouse, children, or anything else for that matter, here’s the deal. If someone commits a wrong, it should not be about upholding some legal code, friendship code, power, and loyalty… definitely not.
As a confidant, it’s baffling to witness such questionable actions, but keeping quiet because I know your partner isn’t the right move, buddy. True friendship involves calling out foolish behavior and encouraging growth, not sweeping mistakes under the rug.
In the year 2020, Dr Disrespect was famously suspended from Twitch without any initial explanation provided. It wasn’t until the summer of 2024 that former Twitch staff members alleged that the streamer had utilized the platform’s Whisper function to send inappropriate messages to a minor.

Initially, I conceded to those assertions in a since-removed tweet; however, I later alleged that the platform harbored a grudge towards me and that they intentionally orchestrated my ban.
Currently, he’s venting his frustration towards those who used to be his friends, as they chose to maintain a safe distance and even severed public connections with the live-streamer, following the incident.
On a previous occasion, xQc has voiced disagreements with Dr Disrespect. Just a few short days ago, Doc requested reinstatement on Twitch, causing xQc to suspect he was joking or acting foolishly because the idea seemed so unreasonable.
