Actor Patrick Wilson will be teaming up with Amy Adams and Javier Bardem for the forthcoming Apple TV+ version of “Cape Fear”.
Under the guidance of creator and executive producer Nick Antosca, along with Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, “Cape Fear” tells a story about a contented couple whose tranquil life takes an unexpected turn when an infamous felon from their past reemerges from prison. Adams is set to portray Anna, the wife, while Bardem assumes the role of the menacing criminal. As for Wilson’s character, the details have not been revealed yet.
Apple characterizes the ten-part series as a “tension-filled, Hitchcock-esque mystery” and a “study of modern-day America’s fascination with real-life crimes.”

Cape Fear” is adapted from John D. MacDonald’s novel “The Executioners”, as well as the 1962 film starring Gregory Peck and Martin Scorsese’s 1991 version. This upcoming series comes from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, in collaboration with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television. Adass, Bardem, Antosca, Alex Hedlund from Eat The Cat, and Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey from Amblin Television are also serving as executive producers on the project.
Wilson is a renowned actor who has been nominated for an Emmy. He’s mostly recognized for his appearances in HBO’s “Angels in America,” the 2004 version of “Phantom of the Opera” on screen, “Watchmen,” “The A-Team,” and the horror series “Insidious.” On Broadway, he has received two nominations for the Tony Award due to his performances in “Oklahoma!” and “The Full Monty.” He can also be seen in both “Aquaman” films, and upcoming projects include “The Conjuring: Last Rites” and Noah Baumbach’s next project titled “Jay Kelly.
