Docuseries ‘Hitler’s Treasure Hunters’ Sells Across 60 Territories for Keshet International (EXCLUSIVE)

Keshet International has finalized several significant agreements for “Hitler’s Treasure Hunters,” a six-episode unscripted series produced by Perpetual Entertainment. This series is one of the highlights presented by Keshet International during their London TV Screenings on February 26.

The docuseries was acquired by Hearst Networks EMEA through a multi-regional agreement that covers countries like Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, and sub-Saharan Africa, as well as Spain and Andorra. Additionally, it was picked up by Warner Bros. Discovery for Spain and Andorra. Lastly, Polsat secured the free TV secondary rights in Poland. Keshet International is currently negotiating with more broadcast partners.

The documentary series titled ‘Nazi Treasure Seekers’ is set to premiere this year, marking both the 80th anniversary of Hitler’s demise and the end of World War II. This gripping series explores the numerous artifacts and sacred items that the Nazi SS pursued during their quest, among which were the Holy Grail and Mjölnir (Thor’s hammer). Their objective was to secure these relics in a bid to bolster Germany’s war efforts and validate Aryan dominance.

Last year at London Screenings, Keshet International gave the go-ahead to this captivating program, and now, I’m thrilled that they’ve started selling it at Mipcom! As a cinema enthusiast, I can hardly wait to see what this production has in store for us.

Additionally, it has successfully sold its inaugural fully funded commission, titled “Catch Me If You Can,” a captivating true crime docuseries that unveils the haunting realm of murderers who manage to elude capture, tormenting their victims’ families and law enforcement until they are eventually brought to justice. This series is produced by Woodcut Media and has been acquired by TVNZ in New Zealand as part of a multi-title deal.

Both “Hitler’s Treasure Hunters” and “Catch Me If You Can” are projects that fall under Keshet International’s Greenlight: Factual & Formats commissioning initiative, an endeavor that their Managing Director Kelly Wright refers to as a collective effort aimed at addressing market requirements.

For us, this method offers a fresh, global approach to delivering new content on television screens, all while aiding TV producers during challenging times. It’s incredibly gratifying to witness concepts that began as mere pitches in a roomful of potential buyers evolve into fully produced TV series that are thriving in the marketplace. Wright emphasized this point.
