As a dedicated follower of the Island Boys duo, I’m sad to share that KodiyakRedd, one of the dynamic twosome, was apprehended on drug-related allegations and is currently incarcerated in a Florida correctional facility.
The twins, Flyysoulja and KodiyakRedd (often referred to as the Island Boys), gained significant popularity on TikTok in 2021. This was largely due to their catchy tune ‘I’m an Island Boy’, along with numerous videos showcasing them both.
Following the launch of their music video, the Island Boys shifted their focus towards Kick for frequent live broadcasts and partnerships with various streamers, including Jack Doherty. Yet, there was significant criticism directed at Kick for promoting the twin brothers.
2025, on the 23rd of February, KodiyakRedd was taken into custody in Naples, Florida, and is currently detained due to accusations of illegal gun and drug activities.
Island Boy arrested on alleged drug possession
Frank Venegas, known as KodiyakRedd online, was taken into custody by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and subsequently detained at a local jail.
Based on the police department’s arrest records, Venegas is being accused of unlawful possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription and illegal activities related to a firearm, such as possession, dealing, or disposal, involving a gun whose serial number has been modified or erased.
According to Florida law firm RoelkeLaw, it’s illegal to have control substances without a prescription, and this offense is classified as a third-degree felony. The penalties can include imprisonment for up to five years or fines of up to $5,000.
In May 2024, KodiyakRedd was taken into custody in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for driving unsafely and various other violations. The account states that Redd faced charges including driving without a valid license, using a fake ID, and reckless driving.
Prior to being escorted to the neighborhood police station, Redd posted on Instagram Stories, “I’m going to jail for no good reason.” A few weeks after this incident, Venegas found himself in hot water for allegedly trying to pose as his brother, Alex, during that traffic stop.

In August 2024, the streaming platform Kick barred The Island Boys due to an incident where KodiyakRedd physically struck a woman during a livestreamed party at their residence, leading to their suspension.
