ABC News Names Seni Tienabeso VP, ABC News Live

Seni Tienabeso has been elevated to the position of Vice President at ABC News Live, leading their live-streaming service and managing both the medical and climate divisions. He will be reporting directly to ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic.

Tienabeso will oversee every facet of ABC News Live, encompassing the allocation of resources and personnel, creation of content, and scheduling of broadcasts. He will work in tandem with ABC’s local TV stations to ensure efficient coordination.

Karamehmedovic stated in a prewritten message that Seni stands out as an exceptionally gifted and dedicated journalist within the field. He possesses a unique knack for crafting captivating narratives and delivering impactful news stories,” says the statement.

Previously, Tienabeso held the position as the inaugural executive director at ABC News Live, where he oversaw the operation of the streaming news channel that broadcasted over 600 million hours in 2024. Earlier, he served as the executive producer for ABC News Live’s prime-time programming and played a crucial role in establishing and maintaining “ABC News Live Prime,” hosted by Linsey Davis. Notably, under his leadership, several weekend anchors from “Good Morning America” were brought on board to host live news programs at ABC News Live.

Tienabeso embarked on his journalistic journey with ABC News in 2007, holding various roles beforehand such as a producer at their News One affiliate service, a local producer for ABC News based in Miami, and a senior producer for “World News Tonight.” He has contributed to coverage of significant events like multiple presidential elections, natural calamities, the Israeli-Hamas conflict in 2014, the Boston Marathon bombing, the earthquake in Haiti, and the Chilean miner rescue.
