Maybe you’ve already heard about the cast for The White Lotus Season 3, but there could be a significant guest appearance that slipped your notice – namely, the legendary Indiana Jones himself, Ke Huy Quan, made an unexpected appearance in the most recent episode.
In the third installment of the popular HBO show, we journey to Thailand and encounter an array of newly introduced wealthy and narcissistic characters who are gradually falling apart due to their underlying issues and flaws.
In the second episode of Season 3 titled ‘The Significance of Dreams’, the underlying tension among the three friends, Kate, Laurie, and Jac, persists, all the while. Meanwhile, Rick grapples with his anger management problems and an unfortunate incident leaves Chelsea delayed due to a gunpoint hold-up.
Regarding the Ratliff family, they remain oblivious to Timothy’s approaching legal predicament. Yet, it is us who gain additional insights due to a frantic conversation with his former business partner, Kenny Nguyen.
The White Lotus Season 3’s surprise Ke Huy Quan cameo
In The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 2, the character Kenny is portrayed by Ke Huy Quan, a renowned actor recognized primarily for his roles as Short Round and Data in Indiana Jones and The Goonies.
After experiencing a refreshing resurgence, Quan has achieved significant success in the acting realm. He received his initial Oscar for his performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once, and most recently, he’s been at the helm of the action film Love Hurts.
In the most recent White Lotus episode, I find myself at the center of a questionable business transaction with Kenny Nguyen, as a reporter from The Wall Street Journal inquires about my role. Stepping aside for privacy, I engage Kenny in conversation, and on the other end, the distinct voice of Quan is heard.
He delivers a remarkably eccentric and over-the-top performance from the very beginning. When Timothy inquires as to why he’s being harassed by the media, Kenny retorts, “I couldn’t care less about your tale… since 20 agents just stormed my office unannounced.

Gosh, I’ve had it. I think I might end my life,” he declares, struggling with his emotions, as he realizes his involvement in the criminal act. Timothy tries to remain composed, but it’s evident that he is on the verge of a panic attack.
Hey, spill the beans,” I urge, but Kenny’s mind is elsewhere, overwhelmed. “I can’t end up in jail. No way, man!” he exclaims, appealing to something greater.
As I’m getting more and more aggravated, I mutter under my breath, “They said this wouldn’t happen.” But Kenny retorts, “Honestly, I never imagined that a colleague would leak information to the press and the FBI… Man, she really backstabbed me. What a betrayal.
“They have everything, Tim. My accounts. My emails,” he adds.
When Timothy inquired about what he had shared with the officials, Kenny responded, “I didn’t say anything. I hired a lawyer instead. I regret ever going to Brunei. I regret accepting that role. Everyone was raking in profits.
As their conversation unfolds, we discover that the duo was entangled in some form of “illegal money transactions and bribery.” Additionally, Ratliff shares a tidbit about his affluence, stating that the deal wasn’t worth it for him as he earned just $10 million from it.
Despite the fact that Kenny has hired a lawyer and advises Tim to do the same urgently, he makes it clear that they are both involved in the situation.
As Kenny becomes increasingly agitated, Timothy warns him, “By all that’s holy, Kenny, if you mess with me over this, I’ll end up ending you.
In a less confrontational manner, “Kenny responds with ‘I guess that’s the plan for me,'” and Timothy ends the conversation with “Well, go ahead then.
