Blue Ant Studios has secured an exclusive global distribution agreement for certain TV shows and movies produced by Austria’s Red Bull Studios, further expanding Blue Ant’s involvement with content created by other companies.
At the London TV Screenings this week, the titles are set to be displayed to potential buyers during Blue Ant Studio’s showcase on February 27th.
Lightbox’s “Compton Magic” docuseries, along with various Red Bull titles, significantly expand Blue Ant’s collection of premium sports and adventure documentaries, now totaling more than 7,500 hours of content.
Red Bull Studios, the content division of the energy drink brand Red Bull, has brought in some of its finest titles from the past decade for acquisition.
As a movie enthusiast, I must highlight two exceptional documentaries that have left an indelible impression on me. One is “Anna Gasser: The Spark Within” (2021), a captivating journey into the heart of two-time Olympic gold medalist Anna Gasser. From gymnastics to skateboarding, she’s redefined her sport with groundbreaking technical prowess, mastering the triple cork.
Another must-watch is “The Dawn Wall” (2017), which chronicled an unprecedented achievement in big wall free climbing. Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson’s ascent of El Capitan’s towering buttress in Yosemite in 2015 was nothing short of remarkable. blue Ant Studios has recently obtained distribution rights for “The Real Mo Farah,” a compelling documentary produced by The Atomized Studios. This film offers an intimate look into the life of the renowned track athlete, who shares his story about being trafficked to the U.K. as a child. The Guardian praised this feature as a “beautiful, heartbreaking tale.
This deal involves “The Moment: How Sports Changed the World,” produced by 1895 Films, which highlights how South Africa’s triumph in the 1995 World Cup not only uplifted the nation but also significantly influenced the racial composition of their national team, the Springboks.
