During your adventure in Avowed, you’ll come across Shatterscarp, the third destination on your travel itinerary. This place is where Thirdborn, a town bustling with outsiders, pirates, and renegades, can be found. Shatterscarp is often considered the most perilous region within the Living Lands. The Dreamscourge has overrun its inhabitants, and there’s an ominous Archmage at large, consuming vast swathes of the map.

Amidst all the turbulence, you’ll find striking landscapes and a wealth of content beyond the primary storylines in Shatterscarp. Full Shatterscarp Map in Avowed

In contrast to other regions within Avowed, Shatterscarp primarily revolves around its coastal city, Thirdborn, which lies on the southern edge of the map. However, it’s important to note that Thirdborn is quite modest compared to other settlements. At the heart of Shatterscarp stands a colossal mountain that makes traversing it an impossible task. As a result, if you wish to explore the extensive locations within this region, you will need to circumnavigate the mountain instead.

In total, there are five major areas you can explore in Shatterscarp, and they are:

  • Thirdborn
  • Great Sand Sea
  • Ancient Lakebed
  • Shark’s Teeth
  • Deadfall Highlands

In your journey through the story, there are several larger destinations you’ll encounter, but these five areas form the core or heart of the map. They all orbit a colossal mountain situated in Shatterscarp’s center. To ensure an efficient trip, it would be prudent to stick to the main road marked by red dotted lines on the map.

Just like usual, Thirdborn is enclosed by a unique map that becomes visible upon entering its main entrance. The only section of this map concealed is the central mountain range, however, there are certain hidden spots where you can venture out and discover small sections of the towering rock massif.

Shatterscarp Key Points of Interest

In the game Avowed, Shatterscarp offers significantly fewer fast travel points and gathering spots for parties compared to Dawnshore or Emerald Stair. Consequently, navigating the map efficiently will prove challenging since there are merely five fast travel spots and just four party camp locations.

Although delving into the map may initially seem unappealing, rest assured that Shatterscarp offers a wealth of sights and activities. To help you navigate, here are some key attractions and their locations marked on the map.

Strangled Adra

  • At the top of the Broken Crown Rock to the north of the Great Sand Sea

The Voice

  • On the top of a cliff at the Twin Offerings Overlook, located in the southern part of the Great Sand Sea and to the west of the Sand Sea Oasis

Pargrun Cache

  • If you want some unique rewards in Avowed, head to the Pargrun Cache in the southeastern part of the Shark’s Teeth area. This is also where one of the Totem of Revelations pieces is located

Treasure Maps

  • Robe of the Arcane Cheater
  • Seafarer’s Boots
  • Dead Man’s Mail
