Not all fantasy movies are successful right away. Some, despite having all the exciting action, compelling stories, and emotional depth fans expect, don’t initially connect with audiences. Though these films may have underperformed in theaters, they had the potential to become instant classics and deserve a second look.
Earlier this month, Quentin Tarantino publicly criticized Paul Dano, calling him a poor actor and dismissing his performance in There Will Be Blood. He also briefly criticized Matthew Lillard and Owen Wilson. However, Tarantino’s comments about Dano were the most pointed, prompting many in Hollywood – including Ben Stiller and Ethan Hawke – to publicly praise Dano’s talent and work.
I was so shocked to hear about Wilson’s passing. According to records from the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office, he died at home on November 21, 2025. His family then confirmed the news on Facebook a few weeks later, on December 13th. Their post was really heartfelt, and it reminded everyone of just how much he accomplished, both online and in his personal life. It’s a huge loss.
