After Alice experiences a shift in feelings, she sets out to locate Noah and his Fish & Chips food truck. However, Max is the one she encounters instead, informing her that Noah has departed from the town, which subsequently alters the way things are between them.
In the beginning of the episode, we find Max visiting Alice for a school project. However, their conversation veers off towards chess, and it’s fair to say that the atmosphere isn’t friendly. Max is eager to defeat her with his supposedly flawless abilities, but Alice has had enough of this.
Yet, everything shifted dramatically upon her search for Noah. For the first time in ages, Max extended a gesture of kindness towards her by offering to prepare food for her. This act was graciously accepted by Alice, who responded with a warm smile.
