He’s Just Seeking Hollywood Fame!

Matt Gaetz responded to actor Alan Ritchson, known for his role as “Reacher,” following Ritchson’s viral GQ interview criticizing Gaetz. Both men were classmates after Ritchson’s family relocated from Illinois to Niceville, Florida.

Regarding Gaetz, Ritchson expressed his sentiment to GQ as follows: ‘That individual is not my ally; we are opponents.’ It’s astonishing to me that the Florida panhandle still supports someone like him, given all the information available about him and the private commitments he has made concerning pardoning certain lawbreakers. Simply put, he’s not a fine person.

In response to Ritchson on both his personal and professional platforms, Gaetz stated, “It seems that Hollywood transforms people.” He went on to say, “We were never actual adversaries, as I excelled in debate competitions and Alan pursued more acting roles… He was always very kind to me (and everyone) and his mother, who supervised the computer lab, took a liking to me.

Just a heads up, he and I weren’t enemies, but it seems he’s seeking the limelight in Tinseltown – not only because of the steroids, but for other reasons as well.

During his conversation with GQ, Ritchson confessed that he harbors two feelings towards politics. One part of him yearns to enter the political arena to surpass someone like Gaetz for the greater good, and another part of him doubts whether he’s cunning enough to thrive in politics due to a lack of duplicity.

Gaetz’s tenure as a U.S. Representative for Florida concluded in late 2024 when he stepped down and was put forward by the Trump administration for the position of U.S. Attorney General. However, amid accusations of sexual misconduct, he withdrew his candidacy, resulting in an investigation by the House Ethics Committee. The committee found that Gaetz had breached the rules governing conduct in the House. Gaetz maintains his innocence regarding these allegations against him.

In an interview with GQ, Ritchson discussed “Reacher” Season 3, which is currently available to stream on the first three episodes via Amazon Prime Video.
