Bungie has affirmed that the Exotic Glaives and Class Swords from Destiny 2 will continue to be accessible across all character classes. This decision overrules their initial plan to rectify a glitch, which was initially discovered during Episode Heresy.
In this latest release, a glitch caused certain weapon restrictions within the class system to be inadvertently eliminated, making all weapons accessible to everyone. At first, Bungie promptly stated they would rectify the issue, but it appears that they have since changed their mind and no longer intend to correct it.
Indeed, in their February 20th TWID, they stated that following some conversations within the team, they have made a fresh decision: “We’ll go ahead with it.” An interesting instance of a glitch turning into a useful feature was used as an example.
As a versatile gamer, I now have the freedom to switch up my weapon choices without restrictions between my Hunter, Titan, or Warlock characters. These bad boys are now interchangeable!

To acquire these special weapons, there are three Exotic Glaives that can be bought from The Enclave once you’ve completed the ‘Report: REVERSE-LURE’ quest. Additionally, the Class Swords can be obtained in two ways: either purchase them from Xur on weekends or craft them if you’ve unlocked their blueprints during the Season of Defiance.
