Microsoft CEO Stresses That Gaming Is Critical To The Company

A recent report indicated that at one point, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was contemplating the idea of closing down the Xbox division. Earlier, Microsoft’s co-founder Paul Allen’s investment firm had suggested Microsoft should sell off Xbox and operate it independently. However, this didn’t transpire. Now, Nadella is clarifying that Microsoft remains dedicated to gaming. He stated emphatically to Dwarkesh Patel that Microsoft’s investments in gaming are not a step towards any other objective.

There were rumors about Microsoft considering closing down the Xbox division and selling it off, but this didn’t happen. Now, CEO Satya Nadella has confirmed that Microsoft is fully committed to the gaming industry, and their investment in gaming isn’t a part of any other plan or strategy.
