Bridgerton Season-Finale Recap: Might You Stay Forever?

Once Sophie was taken to jail, she had a surprisingly honest conversation with one of the guards. He didn’t exactly offer comfort, but he was straightforward: no one would believe her friend’s defense, and a particular woman seemed determined to ruin her life. He advised her to accept her situation and prepare for a long stay. Sophie is now completely alone, and her only visitor, Araminta, isn’t offering support – she’s demanding a confession. Araminta’s real motive is to protect a marriage proposal and cover everything up. To make matters worse, no one even knows where Sophie is being held! If we hadn’t previously arranged for Varley to leave the Featherington household and join Lady Penwood, Varley would still be in jail.

Film Festivals Have Always Been Political

It’s strange to even debate whether politics have a place at film festivals, especially considering Berlin’s long history as the most politically engaged of the major international events. This year’s festival reinforced that reputation: the top prize, the Golden Bear, went to İlker Çatak’s Yellow Letters, a film about a couple whose lives are disrupted by the Turkish government due to their beliefs. The second highest award, the Grand Jury Prize, was given to Emin Alper’s Salvation, a drama exploring the escalating violence and mistrust between two Kurdish families.

Sony reportedly “backing away” from PC ports for major PlayStation exclusives

Sony recently started releasing its PlayStation games on PCs, beginning in 2025 with titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, which became available on Steam shortly after launching on PlayStation 5. This move signaled Sony’s intention to expand beyond just consoles, making any discussion of ending PC support feel particularly significant.

DC’s ‘Wonder Twins’: Isabel May Comments on Canceled HBO Movie

On May 18, 2022, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav canceled the film Wonder Twins about a month before production was scheduled to begin. Actress May recently discussed her involvement with the canceled DC project in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. She stated, “Most projects don’t work out, and you need to be able to accept that. You have to be resilient, move on, and focus on what’s next.” May also explained that while she wasn’t very familiar with DC Comics, she was drawn to the film’s overall idea and decided to take the role.

Max Minghella Had to Mask His Insecurities to Play Industry’s Tom Ripley

Last Sunday’s episode, the second-to-last of the season, showed Whitney desperately trying – and failing – to find a way out of his situation. He attempted to escape, but his colleagues threatened him. His plan to buy another company to mislead investigators also fell through, even though he gave a passionate speech trying to convince everyone it would work. Meanwhile, his business partner, Henry Muck (played by Kit Harrington), despises him, and Henry’s wife, Yasmin (Marissa Abela), is secretly working to destroy the company from within. Actor Max Minghella, known for his roles in The Handmaid’s Tale and The Social Network, portrays Whitney as completely stunned – he can’t accept that his good fortune has ended, because he’d never considered it luck in the first place. Minghella enjoyed playing Whitney at his lowest point, finding it surprisingly relatable. “I’m much closer to that vulnerable side of Whitney as a person,” he explains, “and it was easy for me to tap into those feelings.”

Jury Duty Gets Called on a Company Retreat

The improv group used in this operation features mostly lesser-known actors to avoid detection by the target. One standout performer is Rachel Kaly, a rising comedian recognized by Vulture in 2023, who also starred in the pilot for Nicole Holofcener’s Worried, which debuted at Sundance. The rest of the team includes comedians with experience at renowned institutions like the Groundlings (Emily Pendergast) and Second City (Blair Beeken), as well as character actors Alex Bonifer and Marc Sully Saint-Fleur. The new season begins streaming on Prime Video on March 20th. Are you prepared to begin?
