To fix Bird error code issues, Destiny 2 devs will disable the Facet of Hope, a frustrating move for players who say the fragment is essential to their Prismatic builds.
During the debut of The Last Chapter, some fresh subclasses with unique shards were introduced into Destiny 2 as part of the Prismatic family.
Naturally, Prismatic Fragments are crucial components in specific character setups that utilize the subclass, as they enhance skills and attributes.
The Aspect of Hope is an example of such a piece, speeding up a Guardian’s class skill recharge when they receive elemental boosts. However, it’s disappointing news for the Destiny community that Bungie plans to deactivate this specific fragment.
Destiny 2 devs say Facet of Hope causes Bird error codes
For the last several weeks, D2 players using the Prismatic subclass have reported increased encounters with Bird error codes, which, according to Bungie, indicates a “general networking error.”
According to the Destiny 2 team’s findings, a short-term solution is for players to remove the Facet of Hope fragment from their inventory. On the official Bungie Help social media platforms, developers mentioned that they intend to deactivate this fragment altogether while they work on a permanent solution.
The tweet reads in part, “we are working to disable the fragment to prevent further Bird errors from occurring while we continue our investigation.”
Users haven’t hesitated to voice their discontent, given the crucial role Facet of Hope plays in assembling Prismatic compositions.
In regards to the Bungie Help post, a user commented, “It’s good to know you’re addressing the issue, but I’m disappointed that I might need to adjust my character class.
A different individual added their thoughts, using a weeping emoji and the message, “I recently invested several hours testing a build that ultimately profited significantly from the Facet of Hope.

It’s important to point out that not every Destiny 2 player thinks that the problem lies with Facet of Hope. Many players who commented on Twitter and Reddit said they haven’t encountered any interruptions while using Prismatic builds combined with Facet of Hope.
A Reddit user shared, “For me, Facet of Hope wasn’t a problem until I eliminated any source of bolt energy. It’s unfortunate that they’re taking away such a crucial component.
A different player added, “Not once during the entire episode have I deciphered a ‘bird code,’ and I’ve been utilizing this fragment since it began.
Bungie hasn’t specified yet the exact date they’ll remove Facet of Hope from the game, nor have they given a timeline for its possible return as a fragment.
