Throughout my career, I’ve dedicated myself to bridging the gap between my native Mexico and my current home in the United States by preparing and sharing meals rich in culture and meaning with individuals from diverse backgrounds. In ‘Panamericana’, my travels extend beyond borders as I explore an extraordinary route steeped in history, current events, and future collaborations among people and nations. I am privileged to share these powerful tales amassed during my journey. Our stories hold the key to understanding each other, breaking down barriers within our communities, challenging established narratives, injecting optimism into our conversations, and redefining what it is to be an American.
The series is jointly produced by Mexican Table and Early Light Media, in collaboration with PBS. Jinich serves as the executive producer, while Darren Durlach handles the directorial duties.
Kicking off the series, “Alaska – Wild Harvest” airs on April 29. Next up, “Juneau & Whitehorse – Sister Cities” is set for May 6. The third installment, titled “Alberta – Canada’s Changing Heartland,” will be broadcast on May 13. You can catch all these episodes on PBS at 9 p.m. ET, or stream them via the PBS app and website.
