The Chosen exclusive on Prime Video ahead of season 5 premiere. Will the series still be free?

The TV series titled “The Chosen” made its debut in 2017, however, it initially flew under the radar. Gradually, the appreciation for Dallas Jenkins’ creation, a portrayal of Jesus’ life from the viewpoint of those who engaged with him, started to swell.

As a gaming enthusiast, my curiosity was piqued by “The Chosen” series, and it only intensified when it started airing on popular streaming platforms and linear TV. The surge in interest led to its expansion, with plans for up to seven captivating seasons!

The Chosen has a new streaming home

It seems that the show, titled “The Chosen“, has been a draw for streaming platforms due to its popularity. Now, it’s officially been revealed that this series will exclusively stream on Prime Video. This decision is part of an agreement between Amazon MGM Studios and 5&2 Studios. The deal includes all seasons already released, as well as the upcoming season 5 and the final two seasons yet to be aired in the future.

Will The Chosen still be free?

In March 28, 2025, “The Chosen” season 5 will hit theaters, focusing on Holy Week events. Later in June, it will be accessible on Prime Video in the U.S., requiring a subscription. After the final episode, it will become free on the show’s platform 90 days later. Those who have been watching “The Chosen” on its website and app will still have the option to do so, but slightly delayed.

Dallas Jenkins cautioned that release timings for streaming regions might differ, which means some audiences could experience a delay in accessing The Chosen season 5 sooner. In simpler terms, you may have to wait longer if you live outside certain areas for the fifth season of The Chosen to become available.
