Asmongold Could Be Earning $1M Monthly on Kick Instead of $37K on Twitch

Argument is strongly put forth that Asmongold might benefit significantly by moving from Twitch to the competitive streaming platform, given the revenue potential it offers based on recent disclosures.

The competition among streaming platforms persists fiercely, as Twitch, Kick, YouTube, and even Rumble all vie for the attention of content creators, aiming to attract them to their individual platforms.

Although Kick may not be providing large contracts as it once did, such as the $100M deal for Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, the platform still offers alternative incentives for broadcasters interested in establishing themselves there.

On February 18th, Bijan Tehrani, a co-founder of Kick, replied to a tweet from TopMob regarding Asmongold’s Twitch earnings, explaining why he might benefit from switching platforms.

Kick co-founder tempts Asmongold to leave Twitch

From the 19th of January up until the 17th of February, Asmongold earned a total of $37,001.40 by streaming on his ‘Zackrawrr’ Twitch channel.

Rather than the majority of streamers, Asmongold minimizes the number of advertisements significantly. To be precise, he’s only made about $9 from ads on Twitch during February.

A large portion of his earnings comes from his 8,970 subscriptions, yet Tehrani suggests that these subscribers could generate significantly higher profits if they were on Kick, where the revenue split is 95% to creators and 5% to the platform.

From his earnings last month, it’s estimated that Asmongold made approximately $1,000,395.50 on Kick, all without any special agreements or needing to display an advertisement. 😮

This was pointed out by Bijan Tehrani in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Given his earnings, if Asmongold hadn’t had any special arrangements or run any ads, he would have made approximately $1,000,395.50 from Kick over the last month.

Absolutely, this potential income would depend on every one of Asmongold’s subscribers switching to Kick and subscribing there instead. However, even with this assumption, the difference in possible earnings is quite astonishing.

I’d jump at a chance to stream for $1 billion, but just like Asmongold, I value my “freedom” too much. It’s something that makes this gaming journey unique and fulfilling for me.

Asmongold discusses his decision to forgo Twitch contracts when many of his peers signed, highlighting why he values freedom over any monetary offer.

He shared that he’s never taken on a contract similar to that one because he disliked the idea of being tied down to streaming. For him, personal freedom is paramount, and no amount of money could persuade him to compromise on that.

It remains to be seen whether Asmongold will choose to team up with Kick following Tehrani’s disclosure, or instead decide to broadcast on multiple platforms simultaneously.

While Asmon doesn’t exclusively depend on Twitch for his income, it’s worth noting that his YouTube content, particularly the clips from his streams, have a significant following. Many of these videos garner impressive view counts, with some even reaching millions.
